Welcome to Minnie’s Macarons!

My name is Leann and I am the Baker and Owner of Minnie’s Macarons in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I tried my first macaron in February of 2014 while on a short trip to Paris with my dad. I fell in love with these little delicacies instantly. I have always loved to bake and in January of 2020, I decided to give French Macarons a try. It was a disaster! They were SO hard to get right. I kept practicing and tweaking recipes for months until I found one that worked for me.

In the middle of COVID lockdowns, around April 2020, I decided to launch my business. I always knew I wanted to have my own business, something that was mine. I took the leap, made a decision and went for it. Many people ask me why my business is called “Minnie’s” macarons. “Minnie” is actually a nickname that my mom gave me when I was little and when I was looking to name my business, it fit perfectly.

I married my high school sweetheart in 2015. We are both Colorado Springs natives and just love our home state of Colorado. We love to be outdoors at any chance we can get. I’ve also been a dancer all my life, so if I’m not baking, I’m probably dancing!
